It’s pretty quiet in my office so far even though I just walked in. Today I’m learning to type with ring and pinky finger taped together on the right side of my hand because of some issues. It is quite interesting with only using two fingers on the hand

Looking forward to the weekend. We’re starting a low migration over to new WAPs, but this weekend is all mine. I’m teaching a class at noon, but looking forward to sleeping in late tomorrow and doing some work around the house.

today is my last Friday in the office (next thursday is my last day) so i’m spending the day doing as little as possible, and counting the minutes to the weekend. laying tile tomorrow and then church and a comedy show sunday.

We walked in to discover there was a major power outage overnight. Our nice, expensive UPS on our server did it’s job and shut it down when it’s battery got low, and rebooted the server and untangle server when power was restored.

couple smaller 15-minute time frame ups’s had to be restarted and somehow one of our external drives lost it’s share in the shutdown, but overall we were pleased that things worked how they should.

No idea why we lost power though, no storms or anything… shrug but it did give us a great test of our emergency power system and I’m happy to say that it passed.

Busy weekend! Sister-in-law is due to have her baby any day, other sister-in-law is in down with fiance in anticipation. Dinner with Father-in-law tonight , a fish fry with friends tomorrow night, and we need to finish up some yard work.

Play some baseball with my family

Hang out with some buddies and drink a beer or twelve

Listen to some new albums that have come out

Set up my brother in laws wifi

Watch football Sunday (Da BEARS!!!)

Play my drums loudly sometime Saturday

I’m sure my wife will have some other random crap for me to do. Shopping, fixing her friends PC’s, cleaning, laundry. Forget that nonsense though…

work full time Saturday and Sundays at my second job, so Friday is just another day to me.
