Once upon a time on another platform, Spiceworks community members could tell how long ago they joined based on badges that reflected the ancient and mystical “Legacy Desktop” platform, which some archaeologists surmise must have been a holy altar of some sort.
Today, we bring back that sense of ancient magic by introducing a modern, yet still mystical, reflection of the past with the “Spiceversary” badge, granted for each year you have been on the site.
This is a picture of the fairy Rexmother getting ready to grant me my newest badge:
Are you excited yet? You totally should be.
They might take a bit to populate, but they are being added to the site today. … Can you feel the anticipation?

I joined Spiceworks in 2006 - so 19?
EDIT: Official joined date is Nov, 2006.
So, 18 until then?

I joined 3-4 weeks ago. So not yet… Unless there is an egg badge for those that are still within their first year

2022 is when I joined the community I believe

No egg badge, sadly, but you can look forward to one at your Spiceversary in 8 months or so.

You are making me do math? Good thing I’ve had my coffee.
I joined in 2009, so not as long ago as @HulkSmash, only 16

While I was barely active until the end of last year, officially I joined in 2020. It was September of that year, so after some internal mental turmoil of whether it was close enough to call five years or if I should consider the more mathematically accurate four years, I settled on four years. We do tend to be very technical on here, after all.

Yeah, I will get my #7 badge this year, but not until my official join date, which is later this year, so have to wait a bit.

I certainly was in IT back in 2006, but wasn’t aware of Spiceworks. I was also not one for posting anything online back then.
Since 19 is the longest that Z shows on vote, does that mean that you joined SW in it’s first year?

I did however not sure when exactly they started up… Nov, 2006 is when I joined.
So probably will get 18 until Nov.
I really loved the network mapping back then. I was the only tech in the office of about 100, I did everything.

Maybe you can create one with a meme generator?

Interesting! I just checked: I’ve got a 10th Anniversary badge, and 10 Anniversary badges. Does that mean I get 10 new badges? (I only voted for #10…)

My profile shows that I joined Spiceworks on June 17, 2011.
So 14 years, 2 days.

You should get a badge per year, so yes, you should get all 10.
The 10th Anniversary badge isn’t how many years you have been here… that was the anniversary of the company.
The “Anniversary” badges are default badges from the new platform, granted if you are active in a certain year. They are also all in one pile and don’t have individual numbers on them, so we wanted to make something spicier, just for us.

Seeing the voting was making feel old with my 17 years here (April 2008). Thanks for making me feel young again! LOL

Same here… I think…? Somewhere around 2006, as I began using it when it went ‘Beta’. So, 18 or 19, I suppose…
