Hi All

I have been using Spiceworks for a few years now and it has been godsend. I really don’t know I how I coped without it.

There used to be regular updates to the system but it seems to have gone quite. Is there a new version in the pipeline please.

My frustrations are with the actual user portal. Id like to be able to show a real time ticket count for users when logging tickets and maybe a suggested solution before they submit a ticket. Is this possible at all please.

Cheers

Thanks

There was recently another post like this, please continue the conversation under that post to avoid duplication

Suggestions happen on here, the community, but you must have missed it, which shows how effective it can be, if you didn’t see suggested posts before you submit this one, a user will miss them just as much.

Thanks Rod, I think!!

Care to elaborate?

If I wasn’t helpful please tell me and I can correct my response or give more information

They have not stopped development at all, I believe that they just adjusted priority to some of their new tools. I was able to talk to a couple of devs at SpiceWorld and they did say that version 8 is in development. Jackie mentioned the Beta might be available Q2 this year( Spiceworks 8.0 ).

I believe this is the addon that we use to display a ticket count in a widget on the user portal. https://community.spiceworks.com/appcenter/app/plugin_457

We are still working on the new agent and trying to get that into Beta. We’re hopeful for Q2, but not certain. However, currently there aren’t plans to do what you ask to the User Portal. The recommended plugin will be your best bet.

We’re still working on the multi-OS agent. It’s got kinks. You can play with a concept of it with the IP Scanner tool - we do have that available (in Beta) for Linux and Mac for people to try.

Jackie.
