Spiceworks Alerts turned off but still sending emails

On my Spiceworks install (version 6), I keep receiving alerts about “Any Web Domain Cannot Be Reached”.
So I go into settings - monitors and alerts and turned off the monitor and still it sends the alert so i went back into monitors and alerts again and deleted the monitor and yet again it still sends the alert.
Please help how do you resolve this so that it won’t send any more alerts
