Does anyone here use the Spiceworks Network Monitor? I am looking for a simple, inexpensive solution to monitor things like network resources and bandwidth usage for a small/medium business.

I was just wondering what resources it requires. We have an i5-3570 3.4 GHz server running Spiceworks with 16 GB of RAM. I assume that will be more than enough.

I am also looking to connect this to a display board for real-time monitoring. Would the Spiceworks Network Monitor work for that?

Thanks.

I got a similar Setup on a virtual machine. Spiceworks list 220 items, and spiceworkrs networ Monitor watches over 20 Servers and 90 devices. Spiceworks does behave pretty well, but Network Monitor tends to be somewhat sluggish and crashes every once in a while.

And yep you can use the dahboard as display board.
