Hello,

I downloaded and set up Spiceworks Network Monitor Friday. All was good I logged in and set up a few servers to start monitoring.

All looked fine.

I’ve come to log in this morning and I get a ‘Invalid email or password.’ message.

I’m certain I’m using the correct details as they’re what I used Friday and I’m logged into spiceworks with exactly the same credentials.

Any thoughts?

Cheers,

Lee

This follows on from your existing thread.

Do you have Spiceworks network monitor installed on the same server as inventory, if yes, this is known issue and this is why it is recommended they are not installed on the same host

No - I set it up on a relatively new server with virtually nothing else running on it.

Did you change the notification email address on the second page of the registration when you set everything up yesterday?

That is a good call.

As I remember I used our group email for the alerts - so this would have been different from my personal email which I used to set it up.

In the end I uninstalled the monitor then started from scratch.

I’ve logged in this morning and all looks OK in terms of logging in - this time I left the email as my own.

I’ve logged in a few times now with no issues.

It does appear to crash Chrome after a while - so I’m not sure if it may be better in another browser and I’m having some odd results with our MS Cluster; but these are probably both issues for other tickets.

I would say the log-in issue is resolved - many thanks for getting back.
