I just had a tech notice that the Spiceworks Desktop tool has a HELP link. This resolves (or rather attempts to resolve) to help.spiceworks.com. This appears to be dead currently.

I hadn’t used that link myself - ever, but one of our team did. I can confirm this is is an issue for on-premises version 7.5.00107

Help.Spiceworks.Com is a dead link. Not sure if this is by design or due to an errorl

@sean-spiceworks is on holiday at the moment (or so I understand) but when he’s back he’ll know who to ask. @suzanne-spiceworks might know too.

Of course this is not critical, just an FYI item.

Forwarding this on to the team. Thanks.

You should find everything you need at https://community.spiceworks.com/support . If you can share the specifics of where the bad link is, we can take a look!

On-premises 7.5.00107 install within the desktop tool that sits in the taskbar on the server itself. Look in the menu. It’s something I never tried to use myself.

It is either an error (ie the site should be up and isn’t) or a bug (the app should not be directing you there). Either way, it looks like the team are on it and a resolution will no doubt occcur.

Thanks!

I assume it is just a dead page or DNS entry. Not too many people even look there is my guess
