I am trying to get to the spiceworks.com website. When i try to get there I get Error 20. Any idea why this would be happening? it doesn’t happen on community.spiceworks.com. I have attached an image of the error. Any assistance you can provide would be appreciated.

7 Spice ups

I get the same error when going out our primary ISP, but the backup ISP has no issues. The both use the same DNS servers so it has to be something at the ISP. The ISP for my primary is Spectrum if that helps you out.

No image is attached. Spiceworks.com works fine for me from a BT Internet connection in the UK.

Works fine for me here. We run through Comcast.

Works for me no issues.

No problem here using chrome.

I don’t think it’s a browser issue since I can use the same browser and it will work going out one ISP, but not the other ISP.

I saw another one of these recently. They posted a screenshot, and it seems to be an Incapsula error.

@kareembadr4040 can you post a screenshot of the error you’re getting? I’ll need it to pass it on to Ops to get a look at the issue.

@joshuauthe

What DNS servers are you using? It’s possible the ISP DNS is not efficient or properly configured. You can manually try Google DNS (8.8.8.8) in your IP settings on one computer for testing the theory. You don’t have to set a static IP for the device to configure manual DNS. Also, have you tried opening cmd and running “ping www.spiceworks.com” should at least come back with an IP address. Or “tracert www.spiceworks.com” will show you the hops that it takes to get there (provided DNS is working and your system gets an IP address as to where Spiceworks servers are). Have you done any of this troubleshooting yet would be the better question.

Hey folks, we think we got this nailed down over the week. Can you try it again and let us know how things look?
