I’m taking the Net+ n10-005 today at 2p EST. Any last advice for me before I go in for the exam?

I’ve been using Certmaster and pluralsight for about a month to prepare. Any test taking tips or advice for me?

Preemptive thanks!

Answer those you know, re-check everything, and go back to those you are unsure about at the end, if you spend too long on one your not sure about you could waste time on others you know easily.

Know and understand the fundamentals. Believe in yourself. There is no grey area. You either know it or you don’t. After this long, I believe you know it.

Use the toilet before you go in…seriously.

chew on gum or suck on a boiled sweet during the exam…helps keep nerves calm and aids concentration.

read questions carefully and more than once before looking at the answers, some questions may require more than one answer.

Do you know if I get a white board or calculator for subnetting/ip addressing?

You’ll likely be given pen and paper

Generally speaking, if you use any decent study guide containing a practice test, for a good chance at passing, you should be able to:

  1. Know the right answer and why it’s right.
  2. Know why the wrong answers to the same question are wrong.

By doing this, you cover, thus understand, the additional material related to the same topic.
