Hi,

I am looking for recommendations for “IT” orientated learning that is online based and preferable to track user progress and certificates.

Looking for something similar to Lynda.com for our users on software packages and windows etc but would be great if I could use it for my IT graduate to train on more technical subjects.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

I would suggest Udemy.com, they have cheap courses that you can take to hone in on the certain skills you want. I’ve also went to codecademy.com.

A few sources of training come to my mind. They are in no particular order…

As already mentioned in the previous post Udemy is a great choice. Some other options are…

www.cybrary.it

Free and covers a wide selection of topics - note these are run by the likes of you and I - known as SMEs (Subject Matter Experts) - you can correct them or ask for clarification by posting as well as marking topics complete and earning certificates of taking part.

I found the TestOut.com courses to be very helpful. They are heavy on simulations, so you get to practice right after watching their videos, which really reinforces what you are learning.

Hey Kevin - Do you have any particular skills or topics you’re wanting to look into? We have many IT related courses that would be worth looking! Most of the instructors teaching the courses are IT Pros like you who understand what you’re after when building up your skill sets: https://www.udemy.com/courses/it-and-software/network-and-security/

Also, if you’re on a team of people, we do have Udemy for Business plans available that offer affordable a team plan subscription for 5-20 employees or an enterprise plan for larger teams or your entire company. Might be worth talking to your employer about it if they’re willing to invest for your education!

Does that sound like a good fit?
