If you’re having problems upgrading from beta V to beta VI you should drop in a new copy of your production data from 4.7 (we do not support upgrading between beta versions).<\/p>\n
Try a fresh install of beta VI and drop in your data/db dirs.<\/p>\n
Let us know if this also fails.<\/p>\n
If you’re using 5.0 beta in your production environment you will lose any Help Desk tickets that have been added since your update to 5.0 from 4.7.<\/p>\n
If necessary we can help you get those new tickets pushed from 5.0 into 4.7 for your use in production.<\/p>\n

If you could run the spiceworks_packager.exe it will create a zip file and I will pm you on where to send it. Although I will mention that we ask users to start with a clean install of the beta each time. You can drop in your 4.7 data and db files. We do not support beta updates to beta updates. This may work in many situations but there is also the possibility that even though the update works there maybe something wrong in your previous beta data. We don’t want you carrying over these bugs into the next beta testing cycle.<\/p>\n

I also encountered the same problem, using a backup from my 4.7 environment.<\/p>\n
Edit: Was a clean Beta VI install. as I mentioned (briefly) in my post, I had the same issue. My previous beta version was completely uninstalled, as suggested, but I was unable to install the latest beta version. I received the same error as Brian, regardless of how many times I installed it. I’ve since reverted back to a previous version.<\/p>\n

I understand about the upgrade from 4.7 however I think there is something definitely wrong with the upgrade either way. I think this is the problem. I also uploaded the data to you just now. I tried a clean install and had same issue, there is something wrong with this new version all previous beta’s didn’t have this issue.<\/p>\n
