Hey guys.

It’s time to start thinking about our next meeting. I’m thinking very late November (last week of month) or Early December might be a good time to aim for. So let’s use this thread for spit-balling some ideas. We need to get some opinions on three important things:

Day of week
Time of meeting (Generally speaking)
Suggestions for meeting places.

The MLK library was a great choice to get things going but I think we can do better. So let’s hear some suggestions!

Late November might not be a good idea depending on folks Thanksgiving vacation plans…

I just found this group. Looking forward to meeting you all and communicating with fellow IT folk in the DC area. I am free the last three days of November.

I’m also pretty clear at the end of October and early November, but it sounds like that is not an option for the rest of the group.

Pretty new to spiceworks. Just using it as a ticketing system now and experimenting with remote data collectors in a few labs. Looking towards replacing altiris DS with spiceworks and possibly clonezilla.

Hey Jason as always thanks again for keeping things moving. I should be available the last week of November or early December. Are we looking to keep it in DC?

I prefer later in the day during the week, like we had last time. How about we try and find a place that we can have some beer. I know that sounds easy becasue a bar would be a bit two noisy and I really don’t want to have to all sit around a small table in private room. What I did like about the library was it had enough room to spread out. I will keep thinking…

On a side bar did anyone go to Spiceworld?

Well I apologize that I haven’t been able to chime in as much as I would like to, I’ve been hella busy lately!

It’s looking more and more like our next meeting will be in mid-Jaunary after the holidays. No big deal, but our biggest hurdle is finding a venue. I am going to look into free meeting spaces, but would anyone be adverse to a small donation for a nicer venue? Or be willing to offer up their digs for a meeting spot? Let us know ASAP!
