This sounds like senior skip day when I was in school. I am sure my boss would have an issue with this. Unless this is a new holiday in Canada.

And btw - I found references to 2005 - and it always seems to be end of May/Beginning of June. Never heard of it before today.

But then, any day I have to take my kid(s) to an appt or pick them up sick from school is leave the office early day for me. (I try to schedule appts really late or really early.)

Whoever comes up with this stuff obviously doesn’t have enough to do, so perhaps it’s a good idea if they knock off early before they come up with something else!
