We are setting up an instance of the Spiceworks Inventory and one of our users are unable to log into the onsite version. We are currently using the cloud based ticketing system and the user that can’t log in had played around with the inventory software 3+ years go. He has reset his password and we have checked many settings. I have double checked the email address to make sure it is correct and I have also confirmed the spelling of his email address. He can log into the Spiceworks website without a problem. Did the user click the link in the invitation email when he/she was added as an Admin? The on-prem application will generate an email to all admins/techs added to the Settings → Inventory → User Accounts section of the app.<\/p>\n
If he/she didn’t click the link, then their Spiceworks account hasn’t been tied to your installation. I’m only showing one invite going out to anyone at your domain, and that Admin’s email started with “b”. User B has no problems getting into the system. User J that hasn’t accepted the invitation is the one having an issue. He isn’t getting the invitation email. I checked out spam filter and I see the invitation for user B, but not for user J. I have double/tripled/quadrupled checked the email address for user J and it is correct. When I entered the email address for user J it says that he already has an account on Spiceworks which is correct. I’m not sure where to go from here.<\/p>\n

Can you PM the email address of the user in question? He is getting emails from the Spiceworks system. User J couldn’t remember what his password is and he did a password reset. He did get the password reset email. I would think that if he is black listed then the password reset email wouldn’t go through. On the Settings → Help Desk → User Accounts page, you can edit User J’s entry. Do you see a “Haven’t received email yet”? If you click on it, then click on the Display Invite URL button, you can send that URL to User J. Once they have it, they can use it in a web browser, then use the “Already have an account” link when asked to set up a new account. From there, they should be able to use their current Spiceworks credentials to register with your installation and sign in.<\/p>\n
