Hey all,

I have a Unitrends device installed at a client site that uses an old AIX 7.2 server. Unitrends states that they officially only support AIX up to 7.1. I’ve had someone tell me that the source code of AIX barely changed from 7.1 to 7.2, and that there are customers who have actually gotten it to work om 7.2, however I’m hesitant to do this at risk of damaging the client environment. Had anyone else here run into a situation mixing these two products together?

{"@type":"Person
[{"@type":"Answer

Right now it only lists 7.1 in their compatibility matrix. You would probably have to contact them directly to see if they have plans to support 7.2. As you have alluded to, doesn’t mean it won’t work, it just means it isn’t officially supported.
