Hello All.
I have been told to research video editing platforms for my place of work (library). I have never done any video editing/creation before… So my question is, what would a good video editing/creation software could you guys recommend?
We have W10 and Mac users, I would prefer a team approach with cloud storage/management capabilities. The software will be used by a team of users, and something that will allow us to leverage the team environment would be great, and also make sure that they can collaborate and help each other would be ideal.
Some of the team suggested Filmora, Screen-cast-o-matic and even Adobe Premier Rush…
Any suggestions would be helpful.
thank you.

Hey
What type of project will you be doing for the Library - that might have an effect on which software/platform/solution that you go down.

Right now, my recommendation is Blackmagic Davinci Resolve.
This is a full featured free video system that does need pretty good specced system to run, BUT it is also something you can grow into.
It is truly a pro featured software. Editing, node based effects, full featured audio DAW, titling, Color…
And if you need the higher end 4k output and slightly more advanced features, it is only $299 for the full version…
I cannot recommend this software enough.

Hello Milerky2.
Wow… I’m impress by the software, it looks like overkill, but really nice.
Our machines are regular Dell business laptops, and we would not want to install a sever for the collaboration portion of the app… Otherwise, it looks like a really powerful solution.
Thanks

I absolutely understand the issue with the server, but based on the nature of collaborative video editing and such, The big names, Avid, Adobe, etc, require a central repository for true “multi-user” editing capabilities, as well as more hardware than you may be able to afford/have. Don’t get too worked up about the collaborative side, develop your workflow and build up to a collaborative solution.
Any truly collaborative NLE for video or audio is going to be cost prohibitive.

What is the average size of the video file you will be using? Are you going to be creating from scratch, capturing your own video and still images, or using existing video and still images?
For very quick, simple projects, iMovie on the Macs would be a good first step.
Hello.
after looking at different options, we think that would go for something small and simple to use (maybe Filmora from wondershare). We downloaded the trial and it had us running in minutes, it was simple to use and did not had to read a manual or view any videos in order to create our first test video, also the price is attractive.
I edited the video on the . It’s really great and completely free for users.
I recommend Adobe Premiere Pro for your video editing needs. It’s a professional-grade software that supports both Windows 10 and Mac, and it offers a team-friendly approach with collaborative features and cloud storage. Additionally, if you’re looking to create logos for your videos, you can use Adobe’s online tool called Adobe express to design high-quality logos. It’s user-friendly and accessible.
You can check out online AI video editing tools like Vmaker AI. The advantage of online AI tools is that they are completely online and require no editing skills. They auto-edit your videos with just one click, and all your videos are stored in the cloud.
