A more lightweight topic this time!
We are planning to organise a 1-day all-out-prank-war at the office.
To prepare myself, I am looking for the best IT jokes around!

Put a notice over the printer that states that you’ve upgraded it to voice recognition, simply speak your name to get your prints

There are the standby’s.

Screen cap the main screen, remove all icons and place screen cap as back ground (for added fun find the application that makes the start button jump as soon as you try and click it)

tape on the optical mouse

Default their keyboards to another language type (Canadian multilingual is fun because it’s mostly the geek keys that get messed up)

change the notice bell in windows to a fog horn.

now a little more fun, tape an air freshner can to the bottom of an office chair, using a straw to extend the activator nozel so that sitting on the chair activates the spray (works with fog horns, silly string, or anything else compressed in a can that sprays out) when the hydrolics compress

Not IT related but my favorite prank of all time (and I used to do this to people in high school because I was a terrible person) is covering a surface, like a driveway, or common area, whatever, with tons of rubber bands. You can’t sweep them up because they’ll all bounce around, so you have to take the time to pick them all up!

I liked the crickets idea, I just could never do it!

Clown idea is good too. Especially if you are trying to give someone a heart attack or get punched in the face.
