Happy International Workers’ Day to all of you amazing humans out there! :raising_hands:

Also known as May Day, this holiday dates back to the labor movement of the late 19th century, fighting for fair hours, better conditions, and the recognition workers deserve.
And you putting in the hours, solving the crises, and keeping things running smoothly deserves a standing ovation :clap::clap:

In the spirit of this day, care to share what’s the best part of your job?

We all love a good rant, but today let’s celebrate the wins and the joy this career gives us. Let’s see it, I’m all eyes!

For me, that one is easy. The best part is just getting to be here and interact with such an amazing group of people that help others for a living. I love being here, and hopefully helping to make it better.

I’ve been very fortunate to work with some awesome ppl at nearly every job I’ve ever had. Of the IT jobs I’ve had they’re all very similar & I love working with tech, but it’s who you do it alongside that really brings back good memories.

I like the part where I get to go home at the end of the day, and I put up with the rest

It’s the people for me as well. Getting to read about your experiences, your shares, the endless jokes. It never gets dull.
Also love the SpiceWorld part and getting to meet spicy friends in real life. Lately been really into the spicy step challenge part.

Honestly I am loving my new job. I prefer to work in the office with 1 day wfh per week.

I love that I get to work with some cool people and that everyday is not the same and it’s always different. Perfect for my ADHD brain.

I tolerate my job. I love getting to see my family when I get home.

Surprisingly the best part of my job is the appreciation. I hear a lot of IT pros say that people do not cherish them or treat us with respect, but most of my coworkers not only make me feel like a member of the company, they make me feel like a genius for things that most of us would consider level 1 tech support.

Infact, we had a moral boosting exercise and both groups responded with “If there is one fact here, it is that everyone loves IT”. Seeing as there was only me and my boss at the time in our department, I like to think that I am a big part of that.

My job allows me to go to Canada for months at a time, I did set a home office there.
They give me comp days when I get stuck working crazy hours on issues.
Management does not micromanage, all they care about is that you are getting the job done.
They are also quick to commend you and thank you for the work you do.

If you get along with co-workers being in the office is great.

Oh yeah we have a dog friendly office as well.

Some of the best parts of my job is that I get to work alone about 75% of the time, I come and go as I please (in-between customer appointments), and I have a fantastic group of employees.

jep, I am with you here.
just recently I got a praise from an external project manager, which really went down very well
it is quite rewarding to be helping people getting their stuff done, even more, when they appreciate it and even more when they tell that.
