Currently sitting here at the help desk browsing spiceworks trying not to nod off starring at the App dev dude this just isn’t a day that anything productive is going to happen for me. You ever have these days. I mean there is a stack of 20 laptops I could image. I could go install that program for the ticket that’s been in the que for a week but I just do not see that happening today.

you can start plucking the keys off your keyboard to find out where the rattling sound is coming from. Then you can polish each key and put it back together. Just a suggestion:)
Punch out and stop wasting everyone’s time.

There’s a great quote by Julius “Dr. J” Erving:
“Being a professional is doing the things you love to do, on the days you don’t feel like doing them.”

There’s a companion quote from bosses everywhere:
“If you’re not fired with enthusiasm for your job, you’ll be fired with enthusiasm from your job!”

If allergies are ruining your day, get the tough stuff done with today because they’ll likely be worse tomorrow. Imaging laptops sounds a lot like the kind of busy work that makes you look like you’re being productive, but you’re not needing to put a lot of effort in. If I were in your shoes I’d go take care of that ticket to just get it over with and out of the way, and then get started on imaging laptops. There’s no way you have more than a few hours left, just try to ride it out.

When I have a list of things to do, but just don’t feel like doing it. I do the things on the list until it’s time to clock out.

That’s typically when I’ll sign up for a webinar to make it look like I’m doing something productive.

Would love to be able to take these, however ironically I’m allergic. Smh
Try organizing things you’ve been meaning to organize!
If allergies are the problem, go check all the APs. At least you’ll be looking up.

Meh… Everyone has their off-days. Just so long you’re still on top of the work that needs to be done, slacking off a bit is permissable I believe. Just do not make a habit of it.
Allergies suck… especially when the maintenance crew mows the lawn, right outside your window, and your window is the one with the air vent… oh, look, just as I started typing this, they showed up… and there is the fresh cut grass smell… pardon me while I go sneeze and sniff…
(I feel your pain…)
