So i dissipated from this forum a while back.
I’m back to tel you why.
So i decided a change in jobs was in order.
My previous bos was a nice guy but bit off a lil more than he could chew and was getting very frustrated and started taking it out on me an another tech.
he got inches from my face and screamed at me(never should happen in professional environment)
One day i had had enough and grilled him in an email where several c-level and above members were copied. i called him out on several personal attacks and failings that he blamed on me.
there were several pending projects awaiting his response and when the time came to show the progress to the big wigs he turned to me and said"well where are you at?"
the thing was i was a small fish and only did minor things to help the project. it was assigned to him.
i pointed that out and several big wigs agreed .
in short i called him out and made him look like an ass.
now hes a good guy outside work but i couldn’t take it. and after that of course as i expected he got nicer to me but cared less ad less about my opinion. so i started to look at companies i could grow with and move onward and upward with. which led me to my current position . i went from a lowly help desk tech to a production support analyst and have gotten experience in the more admin side of things and have even picked up sql.
now my current company uses zendesk(although we do have spice works installed from way back when.) so i kinda fell out of the community but im somewhat back now as i miss you guys and the awesome support this community brings.
i also lost my house in the process(my roommate decided to spend money on booze instead of the bills)
but got a vehicle
that promptly decided to be a money pit instead(but i love it)
and im just now gettign back on my feet and looking for an apartment
if you guys have any questions im free to answer them now!

Glad you are back, But just because you changed jobs and help desk software doesn’t mean you need to go. We don’t discriminate
But I can relate to how much time changing jobs can take out of a persons free time having recently done that myself

Welcome back and congrats on the new role.
I probably would have choked him if he got within inches of my face, that’s just uncalled for. But I think you did the right thing by pointing out his flaws to his bosses. They would never know if they weren’t told especially since he is obviously putting on a facade that he is getting it done and you (his peon) are not doing your job.
as far as your house, im sorry to hear that. It is upsetting to see that alcohol was more important than bills for your roommate. Does he work? how does he function if he is spending that much money on booze? I know it will all work out for you.
Sounds like that situation happens more often than it should. My “boss” (interim network admin) is a jerk and grills me when things don’t go his way. I just plan on working hard and obtaining the network admin position myself. I’m taking the Network + soon
Anyways, looking forward to your posts and helpful advice. The community will always be welcoming, especially to a returning member of CAYENNE! So spicy! I’ll be keeping an eye out for ya!
BTW your ex roommate was an IDIOT! lol

Wow - thats quite the jurney you have been on.
It is amazing how you could bounce back when bad things happen.
I think we have all been in a position like your last - I was in my last job - the owner of the company is well known in the city for being crazy. Same things happened - an inch away from my face yelling - all kinds of games - asking me why he shouldnt fire me now - just after my very positive review where I got an overall score of 95 / 100.
The good thing is the bad experiances build you up for the future. As bad as it seems at the time - it always gets better.
I wish you well in your new role

Welcome back, bad managers will sour you on a job faster than anything. had a couple myself and hated coming into work. but on the bright side I forced myself to update the resume.
sorry about the house also. but lesson learned.
