One of my clients is complaining that their newly installed Xerox Workcentre 7535 MFP is printing very slow (approx 10ppm), The printer is capable of printing with speeds up to 35ppm.

I confirmed that latest PCL6 drivers are installed on the Server (Windows 2003), also there are no performance issues with the server itself.

Any ideas what else can I check?

Thx

Perhaps try to narrow the problem down by doing a straight network connection bypassing the print server and compare the printing speed. If it is slow on both then at least the server is completely ruled out and you can concentrate on Drivers & Configuration

+1

Grab a laptop and connect a crossover cable straight into machine.

Latest drivers are here if you have a built-in controller: http://www.support.xerox.com/support/workcentre-7545-7556/downloads/engb.html?associatedProduct=XRIP_WC7525_base&operatingSystem=win7x64

Use these if you have a Fiery RIP: http://www.support.xerox.com/support/workcentre-7545-7556/downloads/engb.html?associatedProduct=XRIP_WC7525_Fiery&operatingSystem=win7x64

the problem was trivial, Xerox recommends different drivers for that MFP, got them from their website, now all is working OK.

thanks for your suggestions
