I have a small domain with several XP systems as well as a few Vista and Win7 systems. The scan shows all the info for the Vista & Win7 systems, but minimal info for the XP systems. Hardware info shows, but the sofware tab for all the XP systems is empty. I’ve tried individual scans but still nothing. There are no errors of any kind to indicate a problem connecting to them and I’m using a domain admin account which should give full access anyway.

Any ideas as to why the software on just the XP systems doesn’t show in the inventory?

{"@type":"Person
{"@type":"Answer

The cause of the problem turned out to be a firewall setting for WMI which was fixed by the command “netsh firewall set service REMOTEADMIN enable”. Besides setting it on each XP machine, I created a GPO to forestall any future problems.
