Back-End: Viirtue
Phones: Yealink T46U and T48U

Interesting behavior and I’m not sure if it is just me/us or Viirtue or Yealink bug…

I have the screensaver on the phones set to say 2 minutes. Screensaver just shows the Date/Time, nothing special, it’s just nice and people like to see that.

If I have a BLF for say x1024 and my screen saver is on, if someone dials x1024 my screen saver will turn off and the main screen will come back due to the BLF wanting to update/show the busy/ringing status of x1024.

I am just wondering if this is normal across ALL Yealink phones or a bug in Viirtue or a setting on the phone I can disable etc. I believe our vendor put a ticket in with Viirtue about it but if it is a Yealink thing there will not be much they can do except for put a ticket in with Yealink. Their forum is down so that’s why I’m here.

I would guess if your back-end provider doesn’t have a toggle, the phone settings might. I didn’t test this, but we have an option on our back-end provider that says this:

Show incoming BLF call Info pop-up
Determines whether incoming call information to configured BLF lines will display on the device screen.

ooohhh nice. I’ll look in the admin guide for Yealink to see if it’s an advance config for the phone. Unfortunately I don’t have access to the back-end company (Viirtue) due to it being a white box provider and I have to go through my reseller. I’ve already let them know and I believe they put a ticket in but who knows.

I want to say this was the fix:
features.blf_active_backlight.enable=“0”

I cannot get in right not to be sure so I apologize. I had another issue and my account changed and I cannot see the Advanced Features at the moment.
