Devices on 2 different subnets in same Inventory group

Hey all, I’m having a bit of an issue with the Inventory that I hope there’s an answer to…I’ve searched and turned up nothing.

Each of our sites have 2 subnets…one for the PC’s using DHCP and another subnet that we use for devices requiring static IP’s. I’m having no issues scanning either of the subnets, but the problem is that I cannot get workstations that reside on either subnet into 1 inventory group. I don’t want to have to create 2 groups per site…one for each subnet. I’d rather have 1 group per site filled with PC’s no matter which subnet is on. Is this possible? If not, I may have to look for another inventory solution which would suck.

Also, the host name for every device at each begins with the same 3 letter code assigned to the location and I know that I can use Exclusion Rules in the Groups and narrow it down to Desktops/Laptops by excluding everything else, but that is beyond tedious to do for each location, so I would rather avoid that if possible.

Yes, I am using remote collectors at 3 of our larger locations that have slow WAN uplinks to our Houston HQ’s.
