I’m not very fond of this new version of Spiceworks. Having a few problems. Users not getting email notifications of comments added to tickets. Only getting emails for open, close and re-open. Yes, I checked the settings, and they are supposed to get emails for everything. Admins are not either - just open, close & re-open. Tested email settings, and they are correct… obviously, since some emails are going out. I liked the old version better.

Try clearing your email settings and putting them back in

  • Do they have the notify check box checked?

Also

  • Try unchecking all the helpdesk and email notification options and checking again

As I stated in my original post, Yes, I checked the settings, and they are supposed to get emails for everything.

Somethings to check / try

  • Admins wont get told about admin update - what do i mean by this? If a admin send a ticket into Spiceworks they wont get all the notifications that a end user would if they sent one in.
  • Settings - Email settings - use the clear button - reenter the details
  • If you are using the exchange connector can you change to IMAP or POP?
  • Are you running version 4.5.45710 there are a few email bug fixes in the versions leading up
