Here are the FREE Pokémon Legends Z-A pre-order bonuses: Gamer desk mat or starter pin

Yesterday’s summer Pokémon Presents showcase gave a fresh look at the new Pokémon Legends: Z-A and was immediately followed by the reveal of the official Nintendo Switch 2 Pokémon Legends Z-A bundle that is now available for pre-order. But if you already have a console, and are just looking to secure a copy of the new pocket monster game, the FREE pre-order bonus gifts are now live at Best Buy and Walmart. Scope them out below.

What are the Pokémon Legends Z-A pre-order bonuses?

While it was nice to see Nintendo serve up another official Switch 2  bundle that actually delivers some savings like the Mario Kart World setup – buying the Switch 2 Legends: Z-A is $20 less than purchasing the console and the game on its own, plenty of folks already bought a console and are just looking to score the game on its own.

Another thing to keep in mind here is that the Switch 2 Pokémon bundle won’t actually release until the game does, so you won’t get the console until October 16. It’s really just for collectors or folks that have no interest in Mario Kart World (and don’t need the console until this fall).

All of that said, pre-order bonuses for both the Switch 1 and Switch 2 versions of Pokémon Legends Z-A are now live, and they are actually kind of interesting of you ask me.

Both Target and Amazon have the game up for pre-sale now, but there are no bonus goodies there. So let’s take a look at what Walmart and Best Buy have up for grabs.

Walmart Pokémon Legends Z-A pre-order bonus

Walmart is delivering a FREE “Exclusive Mystery Pin” with Pokémon Legends Z-A. It sounds like you only get one of the four pins – the three starter Pokémon or a Pokémon Legends Z-A logo. I personally prefer the more subtle pin over the Best Buy option, but it is arguably more substantial.

Best Buy Pokémon Legends Z-A pre-order bonus

Best Buy is serving up a FREE gamer mat with Pokémon Legends: Z–A pre-orders.

“The latest Pokémon title, available for Switch 2 and Switch, is a new adventure set in Lumiose City.” Best Buy adds that the “Pokémon gamer mat can be used for playing the Pokémon Trading Card game or as a mouse pad,” and that it carries a $29.99 value.

It also points out that “Customers who have already pre-ordered will still receive the gamer mat.”
