Hi, y’all - Chad here. Has it already been a month? I mean, it was a short one, but still…”March 2023” was supposed to be some distant dream full of flying taxies & Blade Runners, but oh well. I guess I’ll have to settle for subscription-based reruns and smart lightbulbs.
Once again, our venerated Brand Reps were hard at work in their content caves last month. As far as these posts go, I’m letting the format kind of figure itself out…with your help, of course. So, as always, let me know in the comments anything I missed and/or any formatting changes that you think might help. How many links is too many? Too few? Do you like them embedded or exposed? Do your eyes hurt already? Anyways, let me know. And, now….
Some Top-Performing Posts by Brand Reps (aka Greenfolkz…?)
These are some* posts from brand reps with the most engagement/best stats. Doesn’t matter the topic or category, this is just good-old-fashioned communication. In no particular order, here are some of their most-engaged-with posts:
-
Remote Support! @tamara-for-goto popped into a few forums to ask “ What are your essential FREE tools? ”, which resulted in a great list of free tools that our IT Pros rely on in 2023. If you’re curious, my most essential free tool is my brother-in-law’s power drill.

Contests! Over in Contests, @justin-for-eaton dropped a proverbial bomb on the community in the form of a seemingly-innocent poll: “ What’s your favorite pie? ”. However, if they get 300 entries, we’ll all get to see a video of @mikedecamp & @david-eaton getting pied in the face. PLEASE GET THEM TO 300, Y’ALL…we need that video. There’s no longer a form fill, so go enter! The T’s & C’s are located right here .

Best Practices! Our reigning Spicy Partner® award winner, @brittany-ninjaone , asked a great question about IT managers and their non-technical responsibilities and got some great replies.

Training & Development! @justin-for-legrand got existential on us, asking “ What if A+ Certification was a basic course in grade school?” I think that’s a great question to ask, but I went to grade school in the 1980s, when the only things they taught in public school were math, reading, and smoking.

General IT Security! In yet another post that makes me more nervous than I was yesterday, @javvad-knowbe4 let us all know that ChatGPT might actually be “cool” ! Well, in a pretty hockey-bro way, but still - I feel like we should enjoy the funny stuff that narrow-AI is producing before things get scary.

Some great stuff in here! And while I’m sure most members already know this, if a Brand Rep is doing it right, don’t forget to give them a shoutout!
This reminds me of a conversation that @kelly started years ago (omg, getting closer to a decade ago!) which is still a good read and makes some great points:
