They show that they’re online, but none of the data for the device has been updated for weeks. WMI appears to be functioning, but Spiceworks is just not updating itself. Anyone else seen this? We’re on 7.3 as of today, I was hoping the update would fix the issue.

I’ve given up on the Inventory and this is one of the reasons. In my case it’s mostly SNMP devices that I’m concerned with but it’s so unreliable that all I care about is scanning my printers for supply levels.

I think it’s time to start over on the Inventory side with a fresh database.

I’ll keep that in mind. At the moment I’m hoping to find a solution as I’d rather not have to go through and weed out the 200 or so devices that are manually updated on my network. Thanks for the reply, I have wondered about the reliability of the inventory scanning.

I have clean started twice due to problems with duplicates mostly but I don’t have much confidence in it any more.

Honestly with this kind of weirdness, I email support@spiceworks.com. They provide top notch support for free.

Just took your advice and emailed support. If the solution appears to be something that might help someone else I’ll post it.
