\none of my user is trying to modify a document in a shared folder a .doc file
\nwe open the file change the text and save it but it keep asking to save it.
\nhe have full access to the folder but for some reason it doesn’t allow us to save the file there

i even try to copy the file on my desktop and do the modifications and when i save it it keep asking me where to save it

If you can’t save it to your desktop, it’s protected somehow.<\/p>\n
Does your company run any DLP software?<\/p>\n

I would try saving a new word document to the shared folder and the desktop and see if that works. i modify the file and then save the file as a .doc and it work

Is the shared folder or your local machine using OD or SPO?<\/p>\n

I understood it’s a shared folder, I was asking if this is within SharePoint/Online or OneDrive?<\/p>\n
