Do you realise that you’re working for free tomorrow?

I had to think about that for a second… very funny.
…and depressing.

You mean apart from the working for free many IT people do every single day of the year?

Looks like time for first sick day of the year!! cough… cough…
not if we all call in sick…silly leap day and it’s cause my paycheck to be a day later.

Ugh… Never thought of it that way before.
Looks like it may be a snow day anyway, though. One of the few benefits of working in K-12.
Oh snap!! Hadn’t thought about that… I think tomorrow will be a “Work from home day”.

I really love my job, so I don’t care. : )

As one is lucky enough and has a salary on a permanent job, I am paid the same each month regardless of its length so logic dictates I do get paid for tomorrow.
For example if I was to take leave tomorrow (not sick or holiday) I am sure I would have money taken off me, which means I must get paid for tomorrow.
Bottom line, at least its not a 31 day month :).

tomorrow sounds like a good day to take another furlough day.

Tomorrow will be a great day. I get paid for the extra day, and I get to buy my opening day tickets for the Kansas City Royals!

On the other hand, for you hourly chaps, the extra pay might make it so that your yearly salary will be high enough to bump you up to the next tax bracket.

But we also get paid the same even when we take half the day off for an appointment or something, so it all evens out. I prefer the flexibility of being exempt to punching a timeclock and being treated like a child.

hmm, the way people are talking here, you’d think that there were 365 days in a year!
I can live with it due to the extra, paid, public holidays from last year and this.
