Trying to install Open Manage on a DELL R710 running VMWare 6.0.
Downloaded the appropriate file and followed instructions from the following page:
http://www.dell.com/support/article/us/en/19/how10613/how-to-install-openmanage-server-administrator-omsa-on-vmware-to-collect-logs?lang=en
When running the esxcli installer with the uploaded VIB, I get the this:

I figure it is something simple, but this is production server in and high usage environment. I know a successful install is going to require a host reboot want to make sure all is good.

Looks like your host is having issues reaching out to the internet to download the files it needs. Personally, I have never bothered with open manage in VMware as Dell servers are already handled pretty well by default.

Hi Chad,
I just want to monitor the RAID. See my related posts:

I just did this in a test environment not too long ago, the error looks familiar but not sure if it is the same I ran into but the fix was to shorten the .zip name.
Like make it omsa.zip and try it again.
The error was misleading.
edit
I ran the command as below…
esxcli software vib install -d /vmfs/volume/datastoreUUID/OMSA.zip

Hi,
Have you tried installing 9.1? http://www.dell.com/support/home/us/en/04/drivers/driversdetails?driverId=8D1H0
You could also try installing with VUM instead of CLI.
