I have figured out how to import devices from a .csv file…but how do you import it into a specific group? Theya re going to the general devices group. I would like to import them into a custom group that i set up.

I would imagine you can setup a filter like I do for my monitors. See attached. Under settings → custom groups. Hope it helps.

so… my next roadblock… I am trying to figure out how to import the owner column in my .csv file. for purchase date, i had to change the column name to c_purchase date. However, c_owner didnt work. If i leave it just Owner, i will get a error message with the import script.

any suggestions would greatly be appreciated.

This is still csv related so sure … try primary_owner_name. There’s also b_primary_owner_name.
