I convinced the owner of my company to let me go to SpiceWorld this year and I am looking forward to it for sure. I’ve just set my schedule/agenda and I’m ready. I’ll be driving from the Little Rock area with podcasts to kill the time…

I’m hoping to meet a few of those that I’ve talked to through the years on here…super excited!!!

Have fun, Its necessary. I am missing my first Spiceworld (moving) and I will miss it dearly. Especially the breakfast tacos, and Sushi from Uchi (the best). Make sure you make the most of it and do a little of everything - including the Sspiceworld party. Oh yeah and the opening event party. Lots of food and drink. Say hi to @JayHalberg for me! I usually catch him every event at the Austin city limits or on the show floor. He is very friendly and really has the best job! The rest of the Spiceworks crew are pretty awesome and they make it easy to build friendships. Get some BBQ at Ironworks. Tour the headquarters, Walk to the event. Austin is beautiful.

Not sure if I ever talked to you before - but I will see you there!

The hardest part was finding a room since it took so long for another manager to approve the use of company credit card. Staying at Hyatt House…several blocks away but I get to put my Galaxy Watch to good use!

I may actually check out the night life…I have an eclectic taste in music…can go from Rush to R.E.M. to David Crowder to MercyMe then lurch to Pixies, Talking Heads and Midnight Oil. I see THE BREEDERS will be there Sunday Night and LISA LOEB Monday night…might check them out.

Congrats - the first time is always special!
Be sure to install the spiceworld 2018 mobile app – it really helps keep track of everything and stay in touch with everyone. Feel free to request my contact info via the app – I am what is called a “Spice-Buddy” so I’ll do my best help if needed

Glad to see another Rush fan here

Come to Canada, there are a lot of us up here…

granted I often have a hard time naming songs (or band members) of bands I’m a fan of. I know I like their music and I recognize songs when I hear them (either the song name of the song itself) but can’t tell you them off the top of my head.

So I might not meet your standards for a fan. But Rush gets a lot of play in my corner of the world.

And happy (perceived) retirement to the guys…

I imagine Rush gets lots of play up there  I usually have music streaming in our house (instead of the TV) and play have Rush on high rotation on my playlists. I also find that Rush is great music to run to - and I run about 5 days a week (26.2 miles a week) - so I know every Rush song by heart.

I’d love to come to Canada - it is looking better from here every day

@Garak - you’re going to have a great time at SpiceWorld. I think it’s almost impossible to avoid that. I think you’ll also meet vendors that you didn’t know about and learn very useful things that you can put into place back at the office. Enjoy!

I asked last year and a member of management said it looked too much like a “Social Event” so they didn’t approve it…and while I respect the “chain of command” went straight to the owner and he was all for it. In fact, he asks every week when this is coming up.

I’ve got my schedule set in the app and ready to go!
