The network monitor was working on all of my switches - just recently, it has stopped working and no longer gives me any feedback. There have been no changes on the network to the switches.
Do I need to uninstall and re-install? Is there some other issue going on here?
None of them are marked as unknown devices - all of them appear as the correct switch etc.

Does the monitor need an update? Did you reboot whatever machine it’s running on?
I will check on the update, but the machine it is running on is mine, and it reboots at least 3 or 4 times a day.
I removed the switch and tried to add it again. It gives an error as follows:
Unexpected error response from the monitoring service: Could not load file or assembly ‘SharpSnmpLib, Version=0.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null’ or one of its dependencies. The located assembly’s manifest definition does not match the assembly reference. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80131040)
Check our help page for more information.
I checked the snmp password and that it was running - it is. Not sure what is next other than Google to the rescue?

Hey Bdesper,
There’s actually a bug that was created awhile back on this (bug number 61155). I’ll let the developers know you’re seeing the issue as well.
Any update on a bug fix? Any workaround for the bug?
I could really use this right now as I am trying to run down some network issues.

Hey Bdesper,
I don’t have an update right now, but I’ve reached out to one of the developers to see if they have any info on a workaround!

Hey Bdesper, have you tried installing the new 1.2 release?

That is what is installed…
Ok, one new wrinkle here. I decided to uninstall the network monitor and reinstall it as an experiment to see if it helped any at all. However, upon re-installation, it will no longer launch.
I found a script that completely uninstalled the network monitor application and reset the registry entries from the application.
Upon reinstallation of Network monitor, I am now able to monitor my switches.
My suggestion, make sure the entirety of the NM program is uninstalled when people have to uninstall it.
Thanks
