I have created the CSV template and filled out all the data, when I uploaded the file it does import however it does not scan. When i select the device, it shows the device is not on the network (network link red). I added the same device manually and it shows the device on the network (green link) and scans. I do have it setup for spiceworks to manage the device.

{"@type":"Person
[{"@type":"Answer

To confirm, when you bulk import, you have explicitly set the flag to not have the device manually managed? Is there a difference between the data you’re importing and what you manually add to test with?

{"@type":"Person
jackie
https://community.spiceworks.com/u/jackie"}},{"@type":"Answer

When i bulk import, the options are i want to manage these devise myself and i want to update the existing device, i do not select either. The only difference between the bulk import and the manual is that when i enter a device manually, i am only putting in the computer name and IP address, not the serial, make or model. When i do that it shows a link and scans the computer. When i enter the device manually i am actually copying from the CSV file i created so i know that data is correct.

{"@type":"Person
israel15732939
https://community.spiceworks.com/u/israel15732939"}},{"@type":"Answer

My understanding was that any import, adding, amending or overwriting data in your inventory would make that device or devices manually managed, including existing scanned ones.

{"@type":"Person
Rod-IT
https://community.spiceworks.com/u/Rod-IT"}},{"@type":"Answer

I’m thinking that might be the case even though i did not select the option for it to be manually managed. I got with our networking team for the IP scheme at one of our locations that i did manually. Once i put the IP scheme it scanned the computers, been almost 24hours and the ones I imported still haven’t been scanned and show no network link. I know have a bunch of duplicates.

{"@type":"Person
israel15732939
https://community.spiceworks.com/u/israel15732939"}}]}}
