Previously discovered devices now offline and ping?

I now have a large amount of devices that are showing up in inventory as offline and I know they are online. I can remote in to them with another program. Any suggestions how to resolve this?

As the devices are known, what kind of devices are they as some devices intentionally don’t respond to ping properly as a security feature on their part?

Also, are the pings crossing network boundaries or routers ?
