Every time I try to add an AD account to my spiceworks (its the newest one) it says: could not outhenticate, pls try again later. Tryed every format that I can imagine of:

user@domain
user@domain.
domain\user

The strange thin is, when I try to link SW to the old AD that is working on 2008 R2, everything is ok. But the old AD will be stoped for sure in less than one month

Hi Grigory,

Do you have LDAP SSL enabled in Server 2012 but not in Server 2008 (or the other way around)? If so, you may need to check or uncheck the “Use SSL” box when entering your AD credentials within Spiceworks.

I thought about about that - tried it already, even tried to shut down the whole security-center, nothing worked … so I think it is an issue with the LDAP communication, even at home, if I set up a clean 2008R2 with AD - no problems, setting up an 2012 with AD - same problem, and there is no way to let SW on the 2008, cause we are moving to the new architecture of MS.

I am building a new hyper-v server this weekend with 2012 standard, will give this a try and let you know.

thx

I can also get a copy of your logs to see if they help determine what’s happening in the meantime. I’ll go ahead and open up a ticket for you and send over some instructions.

Task allready given to the sys. adm. who is responsible for the server )) I’ll post the logs as soon as possible, oh yeah, and now we’ve got another problem, in the old domain the computers went to status umanagable, I’ve installed an agent, it works, but it is strange.

here is the log

Nothing helped yet

did you send your logs in to support@spiceworks.com?

Hi Grigory,

It looks like you might not have received my previous email. I looked through your logs and see some messages regarding invalid credentials. I’ll send over an email once more as I’ve asked for a bit more info that you wouldn’t want to post on the Community.

Look for a message from support@spiceworks.com!
