Now that logmein free is no longer an option, and that I have around 200 pcs that I need to remote to from anywhere, what will be my best option for a free version, and what should I expect to pay for a paid version that is at least as good as logmein free was

  1. How many admins need to be able to access theses 200 pc’s?
  2. LogMeIn Free has a 10 computer limit on it. How were you able to have 200 pc’s on your account? You must have had LogMeIn Central?

Take a look at Remote Utilities

If you had LogMeIn Central you are still able to deploy free hosts.

You should really be looking at existing threads that are asking and answering the exact same question before posting such a hot topic. You posted to the correct board, but it’s already full of the same thing.

If I pay for Amazon Prime, I can get all the FREE streaming content I want.

Ranhalt,

Thanx for the heads up, and will check their posts as well,

we had central for free there are 148 pc’s on it now, but a new office pushes to 200, I do believe the main account for this has received the notice of discontinuation of free services though, and I was asked to find a free replacement if possible.

As a Central customer you can still deploy free hosts. This is not changing. Here is some more information about our recent changes: http://bit.ly/1eP1l29

Managing 200 PC’s for free isn’t going to happen.

Lucky, Remote Utilities is affordable at only $549 per operator for a Lifetime license — no recurring fees.

This includes unlimited computers, and there is a discount depending on how many operators you need.

Ben,

straight from the source great, So you are saying that our logmein central account absolutely will not be affected by this change? Kinda wondering why the admin got a notice, Or will they force this account to pay a yearly fee? We dont want to pay 19$ per computer annually?

We know there was some confusion with in product messaging - but that is correct - Central users can continue to use and deploy free hosts.

Confusion? You keep using the word free with LogMeIn Central. I don’t think LMI understands what the word “Free” implies. Again, there’s no explanation as to why it’s free when you have to pay for access to the free clients (LMI Central).

Please explain how this is not service extortion.

They aren’t free, you paid for LMI Central service. Please stop spreading that BS line that they are free.

This is such a BS statement. I don’t think it means what you think it means or have been told it means.

I will say it again, how is it “free” if you have to pay to access it? Sounds like service extortion and shady marketing speak.

Plenty of community members have PM’d you too, and you haven’t responded in 2 days. LMI is “hearing” but they are ignoring. And your answers and support are just links to a thread, they all sound like bot responses.

DERMIT: From the logmein website managing 200 computers with LogMeIn Central will cost $499/year ($2.50/yr a computer).

I’m sure this wasn’t Ben’s call. I’ve had bosses let me handle delivering the bad news and not back me up either. I hope we won’t be hostile to him. Sure the change isn’t what we like but why shoot the messenger?

That’s the problem, there is no real message other than a typical bot response.

If it’s free you don’t get good services. If it’s good services, it’s not free.

Um… Gmail?
