Been in this one since September 2015 this time.

Came in to work this morning after having the day off for the washing machine repair man to come and tell me he couldn’t fix my machine. No surprise there. And was told I was being let go because the company couldn’t afford to keep me on.

So a bit longer than the last one which only lasted three months. That one however caused me more stress than it was worth so I left that one.

I suspect this was probably true too as the company had finance problems in January/ February that ended up with one company going in to administration and an new company being formed to buy all assets, transferring employees and take on all creditors to of the original company.

Oh well back to square again one I guess.

Sorry to hear, good luck on the job search. Wish I could tell you it’s easy but I am having a hell of a time finding a new job as well. I always get a kick out of hearing employers report “we cant find any skilled labor”.

Skilled labor with decades worth of training and experience that will work for $10-$15 an hour is what is hard to find. I’ve been there out of desperation.

Skilled labor, noun, phrase management uses when describing “damn fools who can’t afford to value themselves properly”; cf. “IT folks who just need to get paid”

Good luck, sir.

Lol, Thanks for the encouragement :stuck_out_tongue:

I’ll be rewriting my CV over the weekend and be hitting the agencies hard Monday morning.

In the mean time I noticed that one of my loos is running slightly, so I’m going to walk to the local plumbing place this afternoon to see if they have a space rubber seal for the flush as it just disintegrated in my hands when I took it out.

Best of luck on the job search. I hope you find a place that really values you.

Maybe you should start a home repair company on the side while you’re looking.

Ouch, that hurts not even advanced notice? I thought places were supposed to give 2 week notice for stuff like that maybe that is for employees i would have thought reverse was true too.
