So long and farewell

After almost 11 years, today is my last day at Spiceworks. I have tremendously enjoyed my time here (both the company and the Community), and will always reflect with fondness on the interactions I have had the pleasure of engaging in.

I learned a lot (often, what not to do…), and for that, I thank all of you for being here and giving us reason and motivation to continue building this great experience.

There has been so much change over the last decade, it would be impossible to reflect on all of it. But, some highlights for me include:

The evolution of the Community from a support forum to the social experience it is today
The multiple transformations our application and IT infrastructure has undergone - from a small number of bare metal servers to thousands of containers, instances, databases, load balancers, etc
The building of a great team here who have truly been a pleasure to work with
Spiceworld - how it started and what it has become

I am looking forward to my next challenge (I will be assuming an architect role at a technology company and assisting with their adoption of containers and migration to IaaS), and may come back here occasionally to catch up and see what is going on in the world of IT.

Our paths may well cross again,
