I have been installing the spicework agent on my laptops across our offices, but I have noticed that they aren’t updating their scans. I see last computer update being update with todays date, but for last scan date, it is not there. I have setup scanning on the system, and the computers are online, but just not updating. For computers who have changed their IP addresses, spiceworks scans the IP’s as new devices but with errors. Anyone have any ideas on how I can fix this issue? I have scan interval set at every hour in the remote sites and agents config.

In the agent installation, do you define the IP address of the server, and the key with the appropriate ports, and test the connection…
I actually put in the name of the site to point to because a lot of our employees are of site and not on our domain. I don’t define the ports. It does connect the first time. What I am noticing is that at one of our remote sites where the users are plugged into the network, it does update the computers regularly, versus our office where we are completely wireless.
