First off i want to say that I love Spiceworks and its capabilities. I used it at a previous company and it worked great. Unfortunately the company i recently started working already has a Helpdesk solution (i.e., Jira). I don’t particularly care for Jira but its already hereWhat i loved most was the Spiceworks Inventory portion that tied inventory with tickets. I’m assuming theres no way to do that with Jira.
My only gripe with Spiceworks inventory is that we have to add items 1 by 1 that aren’t found on the network (i…e, monitors, docking stations, etc). If there was a way to manually bulk add, edit, delete etc.
Can anyone recommend a similar solution to Spiceworks Inventory that allows us to bulk add, edit or delete? Ive heard of a few (i.e., Lansweeper, PDQ Inventory) but dont have any experience with them
Does anyone have any recommendations on how Spiceworks can tie into Jira?
We also have Meraki WAP’s.
The previous team purchased a wide variety of products and if we can have them talk to each other (in regard to inventory management) that would be awesome.

If you want to link SW to those other products you would have to write your own interface (an interesting but complicated prospect) or settle for bulk inventory dumps and imports between them (with some filtering or manual editing so that only new items are transferred).
