Thanks Paul, that’s a great link. I do believe I have most of those addressed but am going to do some double checking. I’ve also noticed now that Spiceworks is picking up a bunch of ‘potential DNS errors’ and unresolved host names for a bunch of known device IPs. Slow progress.<\/p>","upvoteCount":0,"datePublished":"2014-02-27T01:50:27.000Z","url":"https://community.spiceworks.com/t/spiceworks-not-discovering-any-devices/280940/5","author":{"@type":"Person","name":"katie0617","url":"https://community.spiceworks.com/u/katie0617"}},{"@type":"Answer","text":"

Hi all,
I use Spiceworks for remove inventory purposes. I’ve got a brand new installation of Spiceworks running on a new server. I previously had an older version at this site (on an older, retired server, so I do not have the database) and thus already have a domain group policy set up to allow me to pick up the client workstations.
When I attempt to run an inventory scan I get nothing. Nada. Zilch. And I’m stuck.

Thank you!
