Hi

I have 3 remote collectors

2 are working ok 1 reports “Still gathering Software information” on the software tab.

I have the latest version I believe .

I have deleted the nodes and rescanned.

I have turned off incremental scanning and set to slow.

I have turned off remote collector mode and the software is listed at the remote site.

It just doesnt appear to show in my main console.

Any other ideas. I am trying to diagnose an issue and need to compare software between 2 workstations.

Thanks

Just to follow up I did the following

Uninstalled remote collector

Reinstalled the remote collector (newer version was shown).

3.Rescanned with incremental off.

Software is all populated now,

I cant help feeling its something to do with incrementally scanning a turned off computer.

I have implemented WOL now so hopefully going back to incrmental scans will be OK

Thanks

Do you have any scan errors?

{"@type":"Person
akp982
https://community.spiceworks.com/u/akp982"}},{"@type":"Answer

Yes, as Andy (akp982) says it sounds like a scan error. If this is on a Vista or Windows 7 PC try this:
