I am in advanced Power BI training that day. Our company leverages Power BI and although I am not the make creator, I need to know how to help support and fix issues. As the Director or IT it’s also good to ensure your skills are aligned with the business needs.

Never worked for a company that knew SysAdmin Day.

I’ll probably take myself out to a nice lunch and enjoy being away from the office.

I’ll still be searching SpiceWorks for SysAdmin Day giveaways.

I think I’ll install all new Certs for email and the Fortiguard on Thursday night. Users love it when I do that. Maybe even change our default SMTP server to something like SMTP2.domain.com.
While I’m at it I’ll push a mandatory password change notice requiring the use of ASCII Alt-255 instead of spaces.

Every few years, SysAdmin day and my birthday coincide.
To celebrate the special occasion, I’m working… just like every other Friday.

Probably nothing as the only other person who may know this day exists is away on holiday. Can’t imagine anybody else here (a) knowing about it and (b) giving a monkeys about it anyway. As long as systems are up, stable, and allowing them to work, we’ll hear nothing.
I’m a grump today - can you tell?

I’ll be in the office by myself… which seems pointless. Guess I’ll treat myself to lunch at the pub across the road!

We used to do stuff. Then those people who all were responsible for the stuff either left or retired, leaving just me. I’m just a grunt. I’ll celebrate it probably by being reminded on SW that it is, in fact, SysAdmin Day.

I took three days off this week… but that was to attend a couple weddings out of state. Timing just “worked” out. I’m probably going to have a Claw or six in celebration on Friday.
Edit: Grammar… it’s way to early to be posting.

Surprised there isn’t an option for, “Working like every other day.” It’s not like our company realizes that Friday is a day to thank their IT team that the business continues to function at all. Granted, that should be every day, but still.

That’s kind of where I was going with the “working hard” option… same as any other day.
