Maybe I’ve begun sliding into insanity but it seems when I’m in the forums now, I can spice up individual comments! This rocks!
Spiceworks FTW!

I know but it’s cool enough I though it warranted a new post
Add in the privacy settings & what-not - it’s fantastic!
That really is nice. Helps reduce some of the spam comments that are the same so people can just spice up the ones they like.
Does that change the order at all of the comments? The top spiced ones will be at the top or anything like that?
I won’t change order to keep topic flow

Yeah but do we get Spice Vote points added to our profile??
Not in this release but that may change
Just to confirm Justin’s answers on the post voting. For now it will not:
- Give you points
- Change the order of posts
- Give the author of the post votes
- Award any Best Answers
We wanted to launch this feature bare bones and see how people liked it and how much use it got. Once we know the impact, we can figure out what we want to do with the points for voting and whether we want to bubble up the best post to the top.

I think this is a cool feature. And helpful in cases where someone asks a technical question. “Liking” or “spicing” it is a good way for the community to confirm that an answer is appropriate.
I think its great. Now instead of people replying to others post on a topic with +1 they can just spice up that persons response.

Suggestion: For threads which require an answer, leave them in order until the best answer has been given. Once done, weight posts by point value; Best Post always top, Helpful below that, then all posts over 10 points or whatever in chronological order below those, all below the question at the beginning of the thread.
It’d save surfing through the chuff to find answers to questions. This may well be the idea behind the “Like” system.
BTW, Spicebook much?#
EDIT: I spiced up my own post. Bug?

And we can’t spice down replies (just in case we wanted to).
