Q: In Massachusetts is there a legal definition of a grandparent? Would a great-grandparent be considered a grandparent?

I am aware of the California case "Ed H. v. Ashley C." But have been unable to find anything in Massachusetts.

There is a petition for grandparent visitation and the statute speaks with regard to grandparents having visitation rights under certain circumstances .

Q: Am I supposed to pay for my kids school lunches during their dads week?

My ex husband and I have shared legal and physical custody. I do get child support But it’s based on shared custody. One week with mom and the other week with dad.

Each parent should pay on their own week. But the amount is extremely unlikely to be worth fighting over.

Q: Do you have same rights as a renter, if you are offered Free Rent in exchange for labor fixing the house up?

Ive been offered a house Free Rent just to fix it up. It has a lot wrong with it. I see this pattern a lot in my business. Here is some advice to protect you. write a contract for a nominal rent. Have the landlady agree that you will charge market fees and that she will pay for all supplies.
