For your installation: Settings > User Accounts.

For the community: Change Community Email

If you are talking about the Spiceworks install then follow Douglas’ link. If you are talking about your community login you need to PM Nic at Spiceworks your old and new email addresses and he can get it sorted out for you.

When I go to change the community profile I get the download. Do I have to re-install the software so I can create another user? If I install will that blow away my current spiceworks setup?

If you change the address for the community: You have to setup a new community profile and then PM nic from both of them to confirm the switch over.

If you mean you want another admin user then settings - user accounts - add or click the email address to change it.

I need to create a new community and then get with the PM nice. Can I install two communites on on PC without corrupting the first?

  • Create a new profile: First you’ll need to create a Community profile for your new email address. Log out of the Community, then, if you haven’t already done so, create a new user account in Spiceworks for that email address. Click My Community to create a new profile.
  • PM Nic You’ll need to send Nic a message from this new account, telling him that you need to switch your email address. Then log out of the Community and log back in using your old email address and send him another message to confirm that you do indeed own both email addresses. You can find Nic’s profile here.

The log out if in the top right, you will then see a register link in the middle, sign up, PM him from that account, login to your old account, PM from that one, wait and hell do the switcheroo for u

Dumb question but how do I create a new spiceworks community account if I no longer have a spiceworks server running?
