If yyyyyyyyyyyyyyyoooooooooooouuuuuuuuuu can believe it, it’s a Friday once again. Welcome back everyone I hope you’ve had a wonderful work week with no incidents whatsoever. Yesterday I bought Elder Scrolls: Oblivion and I play a bit of it, but it took over eight hours to install on my steam deck. The PC install was much faster. So I’m definitely going to play that today. I also plan to play some Repo and Chrono Trigger and if I can convince my friends, Minecraft. I’ve had the last two days off as I’m in between my last job and my new job. I was able to get a nice job working for my local county and I’ll be getting a pension in five years, so that’s very exciting.

In other news, I was very interested in LTT’s video on 30 days with the Intel Arc B580. I’ve been wanting to upgrade to a newer generation of card. I currently have a Geforce RTX 2080 super and it’s showing its age. The consensus seems to be it’s not that bad. I honestly would like to upgrade considering both of the people in the video chose that over at their current Nvidia cards. But. I think I’m going to wait and hope that they do another generation of these cards, because they can only get better.

Now it’s time for the questions. Sing the words if you know 'em.

What games do you plan on playing this weekend?
Probably some Repo and Far Cry 5/6, and I need to dust off Borderlands 3 again.

What things do you plan on doing this weekend?
Cleaning and laundry, as usual, then I need to see if I can clean out the storage room we have and the shed outside. They’re full of crap and most of it needs to go.

Which console generation and console have the best aesthetic?
Early 90’s 32-bit consoles: Sega Genesis and Super Nintendo. To some extent, the Atari Jaguar and Jaguar CD were interesting as well, but both were commercial failures.

Cold coffee yea or nay.
No.
Unless it’s a French vanilla Iced Capp from Timmies.

If you’re not a coffee drinker, cold tea, yea or nay?
I drink both coffee and tea, and unless we’re talking iced tea that is sweetened, it’s gonna be a no.

Expedition 33. If you haven’t checked this one out yet I highly encourage anyone reading this to do so. Game is incredible. It is also included in Xbox Gamepass. Serious GOTY contender.

Thats all I’m planning on doing :D.

Which console generation and console have the best aesthetic?
Definitely the current gen Xbox. Just a black box. I don’t like all these spaceship looking consoles like the PS5. Also the Switch 2 is looking very good
Cold coffee yea or nay.
Nope!
If you’re not a coffee drinker, cold tea, yea or nay?
Cold tea is alright

What things do you plan on doing this weekend?
Going on a day trip for my wife to see her friend graduate with her Masters and then a different friend in that area is going to do some maternity photos for us. She is a photographer and doing this for free. Sunday will be study mode for my CCNA I am supposed to be taking soon.

Which console generation and console have the best aesthetic?
Dreamcast for me personally. It was unique. The Gamecube is a close contender but if you ever played Dreamcast you know. The memory card things in the controller and stuff that had games on that too.

Cold coffee yea or nay.
Nay.

If you’re not a coffee drinker, cold tea, yea or nay?
Iced tea is pretty good.

First off congrats on the new Gig @OZ10

What games do you plan on playing this weekend?
I’ll be digging further into AC Shadows down to two and a half provinces left. So I’ll keep chugging along, but they look to be quite big so i doubt I’ll get it done this weekend. I did pick up Tempest Rising as it released this past weekend and I’m super excited to dig into it, as I’ve been so hungry for a Command & Conquer style game.

What things do you plan on doing this weekend?
As the nicer weather continues to creep in I may try getting out to a golf course again… but I may go beer tasting instead if theres a nice patio somewhere.

Which console generation and console have the best aesthetic?
The Sega Genesis was pretty dang sleek looking to me. smooth and curvy and a nice sharp black.

Cold coffee yea or nay.
I can’t say it’d be my first choice but I have partaken now and then when it’s abhorrently hot out and the sun is just sucking the life out of me.

If you’re not a coffee drinker, cold tea, yea or nay?
Cold tea? Like Iced Tea? or literally cold tea? I mean normally I take so long to drink my tea’s that they go cold and I don’t mind the last few sips… so sure on this as well I guess.

What games do you plan on playing this weekend?
Continue my NG+0 of Lords of the Fallen to get the Umbral ending. I’ve made significant progress so far (which is made easier by being overpowered in NG+).
Finish up the latest update from Ale Abbey to complete the new Bockheim market.
If I have time, I’ll return to Fallen Aces to check out the minor updates they released since I played last.

It’s quite simple: Clair Obscure. I’m obsessed with the game and, due to deployments and upgrades, I haven’t gotten to spend much time after work with the game. I’m planning on dumping a ton of time into it this weekend since my fiancée is housesitting again. Just finished the first boss of Act II and it just keeps getting better and better. Gives me so many throwbacks to my favorite JRPGs from my youth (Paper Mario, Grandia II, Skies of Arcadia, Golden Sun, etc.). This is what gaming’s all about and everyone should be playing it. I’ve got a very strong feeling we’ll see a renaissance of turn-based RPGs except with souls-ish mechanics spurred on by the success of Clair Obscure.

What things do you plan on doing this weekend?

Aside from gaming? Not a ton. My Retroid Pocket Flip 2 was delivered Monday and I’ve pretty much got it set up, just need to iron out a few kinks with Vita3k, Alzahar, and ES-DE as well as Moonlight plus set up shaders and such with RetroArch and add a few HD mods to Dolphin (Super Mario Galaxy 1/2, Gauntlet: Dark Legacy, Skies of Arcadia Legends, and X-Men Legends 1/2). Aside from tinkering with that I am going to also start loading up the decking I tore off last summer to finally take it out to the dump and clean up my backyard. Also will finish staining the arbor I built over my deck last summer too.

Which console generation and console have the best aesthetic?

Honestly I’m a pretty big fan of the SNES & Genesis, probably because that’s what I grew up with lol. Certainly better than the space ship PS5 and minifridge Xbox.

Cold coffee yea or nay.

I generally am not much of a coffee drinker to begin with; making it cold just sounds even more awful.

If you’re not a coffee drinker, cold tea, yea or nay?

Sure, I enjoy iced tea with a slice of lemon quite a bit

What games do you plan on playing this weekend?
I plan to play more Doll’s Nest, I’ve been playing a lot of that. I wish I could play the Oblivion remaster, but my computer cannot run it well outside the sewer level at the beginning. Oblivion’s one of my all-time favorite games so sucks. It’s likely going to be a while until I can upgrade my 1060 GPU.

What things do you plan on doing this weekend?
I plan on relaxing best I can and watching the Pokemon tournament this weekend, the NBA playoffs and WNBA SEASON STARTS TONIGHT IM SO EXCITED It’s been shark week and it’s sucked this month so I mainly just want to lie down nap and watch some competitions.

Which console generation and console have the best aesthetic?
Gamecube and PS2 era with the Gamecube having the best aesthetic. It’s a pretty box that still holds up to this day.

Cold coffee yea or nay.
If you’re not a coffee drinker, cold tea, yea or nay?
Yea, but for mornings I always need hot coffee. If I get a coffee in the afternoon I typically want it cold.

What games do you plan on playing this weekend?
A - I want to get further is Clair Obscur: Expedition 33. I’ve been putting in some hours and really enjoying it. Once I finish that I am not sure. Might even run the game back on New Game + mode honestly.

What things do you plan on doing this weekend?
A - Gonna try and hold myself to working out on Saturday and Sunday again. I feel that my best workouts happen when I don’t really have anything else to do in the day and I can really focus in on my workout. I will also be visiting my grandma on Saturday for some lunch and to talk a little bit.

Which console generation and console have the best aesthetic?
A - Personally. I think the PS2 was a gritty design but just felt right. Its boxy but it worked well and the games were awesome. Plus the sounds inside of the menus just felt right. PS2 and PS4 are very close for that contest. Not a fan of the PS5 design…

Cold coffee yea or nay.
A - It’s basically the only way that I drink my coffee honestly. I will sometime do hot but extremely rarely, especially if there is a cold option available

If you’re not a coffee drinker, cold tea, yea or nay?
A - Funny enough… I drink my tea warm and hate ice tea haha. I only drink cold tea if it’s half & half with lemonade or something sweet to somewhat neutralize the bitterness. I drink jasmine tea hot with honey.

What games do you plan on playing this weekend?
If possible, I’d like to continue my Franchise of The Sirloins in Super Mega Baseball 4, but more likely I’ll be stuck playing Fortnite with in-laws.

What things do you plan on doing this weekend?
Getting caught up on lawn care and other fun things around the house. Hopefully fit in some time to play drums and/or guitar.

Which console generation and console have the best aesthetic?
I’ll say the one with the Gamecube, PS2 and Xbox since each one of those consoles really felt unique in their design and their controllers. Gamecube controller is still the goat for me in terms of comfort and ease of use.

Cold coffee yea or nay.
Yeah but only if its warm out. Once it dips below 60 degrees it back to hot coffee.

If you’re not a coffee drinker, cold tea, yea or nay?
Iced tea is good, but see above for the ideal drinking conditions

What games do you plan on playing this weekend?
I’m going to try and get my partner into Minecraft, and she’s mildly interested so it won’t be impossible. I might run some Zombies or Multiplayer on Black Ops 6 to kick back & relax, and I’d like to continue my journey in Sea of Stars as well.

What things do you plan on doing this weekend?
A friend asked me to be a guest speaker at a webinar-type event tonight to speak to some university students about getting into a tech career. Other than that I’d just like to game, maybe play some music, and chill.

Which console generation and console have the best aesthetic?
Generationally, the 2000s were best imo, so 6-7th gen. Still much more diverse AAA games coming out those days compared now, and I feel that the UI/UX of the 7th gen consoles (as well as PC gaming at the time) was peak, up until the early-mid 2010s where everything slowly started to look more flat, bland and homogeneous (albeit sometimes more functional, to be fair)

If I had to choose one console, my favorite looking aesthetic is the original PlayStation. I find it to have the most visually appealing early 3D graphics and the whole PlayStation systems’ design language has always felt so beautiful to me regardless of whether or not the hardware is worthy. Nintendo DS is a close second though.

Cold coffee yea or nay.
Yea, especially during the warmer months (but not exclusively)
