Afternoon all,
It’s been a while since i’ve been on these forums or looked at Spiceworks. I used the early versions of SW very heavily but since moving onto more dedicated MSP roles i moved over to software such as Gfi/N-Able etc. etc.
My current company uses N-able. It’s a good product, powerful but to be honest, far too expensive. My management want to cut costs and thy can’t see the benefit of N-able.
We are an MSP that have approx 25 managed clients ranging from sites that have 2 or 3 workgrouped machines right up to 3 or 4 clients that have 4-500 domain computers and 15-20 servers. All in all we manage approx 2000 desktops and approximately 80-90 servers.
We are a team of 3 people managing all this (Challenging).
My question is this, we need to be able to monitor host services such as cpu, hdd’s, memory on the servers, we also need to be able to remote to every single device obviously. I need alternatives to N-able/Gfi etc. with little or no cost involved (Also challenging!!!)
Any ideas or thoughts would be a big help
Regards

May we offer you our free integrated RMM/Helpdesk/Patch management solution? https://one.comodo.com has more details and we have webinars every two weeks displaying the product’s capabilities.
PM me if you would like the webinar link.
Comodo rmm was the first piece of software I tried.
I like it, it seems like a good RMM tool. Because it is agent based, it’s a shame you cannot use it to connect to remote machines
" it’s a shame you cannot use it to connect to remote machines" - that’s the servicedesk module that is built into the product. Perhaps you would like to come to a demo to see how it flows?
is that truly free. what’s the catch?
Yes - the RMM/Helpdesk/Patch managert is free, as in gratis por nada nix $0.00. The ‘catch’, if you want to put it that way, is that you have to pay for the add-on AV/AM, Antispam, Backup, DLP etc. etc. modules that you want to add in later.

Did N-Able change their model with Solarwinds ownership? When I used it, the licenses had an upfront cost (expensive) but were yours forever. You pay for annual support and maintenance which wasn’t nearly as expensive as the licenses. I didn’t use the bolt-ons (AV / DR) with N-Able after some disasters early on.
Since you’re an MSP, shouldn’t those renewal costs be passed along?
ComodoGuy, Is Comodo one cloud based only or is there an on-premise option?
Hi Steve, it is cloud-based. Want a look-see?
Yes and Comodo’s add-ons are pricey.
Is it possible to use Comode one for free RMM/Helpdesk/Patch managert and then use other free or paid AV and backup solutions not offered by Comodo?
